Last week I flew to Paris to attend the Maison & Objet design fair. Maison & Objet is an international trade fair for interior design where about 2,000 brands from all around the world are showcasing their latest products. I love attending design fairs as they are always a great source of inspiration for me and it gives me the opportunity to discover a multitude of new suppliers.
There are a few brands and products that particularly caught my eyes and I wanted to share my top 6 with you.
1. Taiwan Lantern
I am a huge fan of pendant lights, they provide a light that is a lot softer than pot lights and can be real pieces of arts. I found the lantern lights from Taiwan Lantern absolutely gorgeous. They are handmade by artisans in Taiwan and the quality is absolutely amazing.
2. Temps Libre
I loved this collection of armchairs by Virginie Lobrot. I can picture myself reading a book on this armchair by the fireplace on a long winter night. It would also look gorgeous in a bedroom.
3. Honore Deco
That's not a discovery and I've used quite a few of their products before but it's still a favourite and I loved the 70's vibe of their stall this year!
4. Mlle Jo
I had never seen anything similar before. Their floating tables are unique, elegant and would look amazing in an entry, as bedside tables or next to a couch! They come in different wood colours and there is even one in travertine.
5. Pascal Oudet
Lace in French Oak - his creations are real pieces of art, delicate and elegant. My favourite pieces were the wall lights, they look like artworks when turned off and create a beautiful soft light at night.
6. Le Berre Vevaud
Beautiful furniture by Le Berre Vevaud with delicate curves and contrasting textures.
And voila! These were my favourite finds from this edition of Maison & Objet and I can't wait to use some of them in my latest projects!
